Groove Dialer Setup - Local Dial

 

What are Local Dial Phone Numbers?

Local Dial numbers are shared Groove Phone Numbers throughout your organization. Reps can switch between their Groove Phone Number and the Local Dial numbers, a strategy that enhances the likelihood of successful call connections.

 

When the Omnidialer user toggles on Local Dial, we'll select a number from the shared pool that aligns with the area code of the individual being called if they're located in the US or Canada or with the country code for international calls. This approach ensures a tailored, local approach for every call.

 

Note: Dialer does not support numbers with ITFN (international toll free number) prefixes.

 

Purchase Local Dial Phone Numbers

Groove Admins must purchase Local Dial Phone Numbers for Omnidialer users to use them. You can purchase local numbers in Groove Settings.

 

  1. Go to Manage My Org
  2. Click Purchase Phone Numbers: 

 

 

3. Click Add Phone Numbers:

 

 

Purchase US/Canada Local Dial Numbers

To purchase US or Canada local numbers, navigate from the Local Dial page and click the "Purchase Phone Number" button. Once clicked, you will be brought to the page to filter for US/Canada and search for specific numbers based on area code.

 

Each US/Canada local number costs $1/month.

 

Purchase International Local Dial Numbers

Countries outside the US/Canada require you to create a regulatory bundle before purchasing. For example, if you already have a bundle created for Germany, you can purchase as many German local dial numbers as you need for your organization.

 

If you have an accepted Regulatory Bundle for the Country you choose to buy numbers, from the Local Dial page, click the "Purchase Phone Number" button. Once clicked, you will be brought to the page to filter for the Country of choice.

 

Note: Pricing of International Local Dial numbers will vary based on the Country.

 

Auto-Purchase Phone Numbers

 

To automatically purchase phone numbers for the area codes your reps are calling into:

 

  1. Go to Manage My Org, Dialer Settings
  2. Enable "Automatically purchase phone numbers"

 

 

With this option enabled, numbers are automatically purchased when users turn on the Local Dial toggle from their Omnidialer. We'll automatically add a phone number for your team if you don't already have one for the area code the rep is dialing into.

 

However, suppose your reps are toggling on the Local Dial feature for International calls outside of the US/Canada, and your organization does not have a Regulatory Bundle created for the Country your rep is calling into. In that case, they will get an error message telling them to contact their Groove Admin to buy the numbers for them.
