Groove IPs to Add to Your Org’s Salesforce Allowlist

If your Salesforce has IP restrictions enabled, then your Salesforce only permits logins from a specific list of IP addresses. In this case, your team will need to add Groove’s IPs to your Salesforce Login IPs in order for users to successfully log in through Salesforce when establishing their Groove connection. Without adding Groove’s IPs to your Salesforce Login IPs, users may be blocked at the Salesforce login stage of signing into Groove.

Groove's IP Addresses

  • 52.1.104.50

  • 54.172.239.251

  • 3.231.90.160

  • 3.208.245.190

Permissions Needed to Edit Login IPs in Salesforce

To edit and delete Login IP Ranges in Salesforce, the Manage Profiles and Permission Sets permissions are necessary.

Steps To Add the IPs to the Allowlist

Please follow the below steps in Salesforce to add Groove’s IP addresses to your team’s allowlist. Groove’s IP ranges will need to be added to the allowlist for all Salesforce Profiles to which Groove users are assigned. Alternatively you can also configure the IP ranges at the organization level.

Organization Level:

These steps are also found in Salesforce's help center at this link.

  1. From Setup, enter "Network Access" in the Quick Find box, then select Network Access.

  2. Click New.

  3. Enter a valid IP address in the Start IP Address field and a higher IP address in the End IP Address field.
The start and end addresses define the range of allowable IP addresses from which users can log in, including the start and end values. If you want to allow logins from a single IP address, enter the same address in both fields.
The start and end IP addresses must be in an IPv4 range and include no more than 33,554,432 addresses (225, a /7 CIDR block).

  4. Optionally, enter a description for the range. For example, if you maintain multiple ranges, enter details about the part of your network that corresponds to this range.

  5. Click Save.

Profile Level:

These steps are also found in Salesforce's help center at this link.

  1. Click Setup.

  2. In the Quick Find Box, search Profiles > Click Profiles.

  3. Select the name of the Profile for which you want to edit the allowed IP ranges.

  4. From the Profile Overview page, select Login IP Ranges.

  5. Choose Add IP Ranges and enter Groove’s IP addresses.
Enter a valid IP address in the IP Start Address and a higher-numbered IP address in the IP End Address field. To allow logins from only a single IP address, enter the same address in both fields.

  6. Optionally enter a description for the range. If you maintain multiple ranges, use the Description field to provide details, like which part of your network corresponds to this range.

  7. Repeat steps 3–6 for any other Profiles, as necessary.

General Recommendations and Additional Steps to Protect Against Unauthorized Access

If your organization is not already set up with IP restrictions on Salesforce login access, we would recommend that you do so as it is a simple way to reduce risk and help protect your organization’s Salesforce data from unauthorized access.

One more additional step that can be taken to additionally protection your org's data from unauthorized access is to restrict access to Groove's specific Salesforce connected App. Instructions to do this can be found here and the IP address ranges from above can be used in this context as well.
