Groove Omnidialer Settings
This article covers Omnidialer Settings.
To go to Omnidialer Settings:
In Omnidialer, click your name/initials icon (top right) > Settings
You'll land on the settings page. Let's cover everything there.
General Settings
You land on the General Settings Tab (at the top of Omnidialer):

Personal Settings
- Default Country Code: This setting controls what the default country code for your OmniDialer is. This country code will be preloaded into the OmniDialer when you’re manually entering numbers to call. If you click-to-call a number with a different country code from Salesforce or Groove Flows, that country code will be pulled into the OmniDialer.
- Voicemail Greeting: This setting lets you configure your OmniDialer’s voicemail box. You can either use Groove’s “Default” voicemail greeting, or record a “Custom” voicemail greeting.
-- If you select the “Custom” option, the circle above “Record” (bottom right) will become red. Press the red circle to record your custom voicemail greeting. Press “Play” to listen to what you’ve recorded. If you need to rerecord, you can press “Record” again to record over your previous custom voicemail greeting.
- Enable Instant Dial: This lets you make calls with less clicks! If you are dialing out of Salesforce, you won't have to click the call button in the OmniDialer to initiate a call. As soon as you click the Groove phone icon on a Salesforce record, the call will initiate in the OmniDialer.
- Mute Incoming Calls: Reps can "mute" inbound calls to see who called and return their call at their convenience. This setting is useful for when you have to hop into a meeting and don’t want to be interrupted by calls.
-- If you have a call forwarding number set up, that will ring, but your Dialer will not.
-- If you don't have call forwarding set up, you can check the call in your Recent Calls Tab in Dialer.
Note that this feature will mute all future inbound calls if the checkbox has been checked! Simply uncheck the checkbox for future calls to ring in your OmniDialer again.
- Automatically Launch at Startup: This setting causes the OmniDialer application to open up immediately after you turn on or restart your computer. This setting helps prevent inbound calls from slipping through, as the OmniDialer will not ring if the application is not running.
Updating Your OmniDialer: Making sure that your OmniDialer is always up to date will ensure you have the smoothest experience with the Dialer.
Check the “Automatically Check for Updates” checkbox to have the OmniDialer automatically scan for updates in the background. Groove will push a notification at the top of your OmniDialer whenever an update is available for installation.
Alternatively, click the “Check for Updates” button at the bottom of the OmniDialer to manually check for updates.
If there is an OmniDialer update available to download, the “Check for Updates” button will convert to a “Quit and Install” button. Click “Quit and Install” to install the latest OmniDialer update.
Audio Settings
Click the Audio Tab at the top to adjust audio settings:
- Input Device: You can select which mic you want to use (like your laptop or Airpods, etc).
- Speaker Device: Choose where you want to hear sound (laptop speakers or headphones, etc).
- Ringtone Device: Select where you want to hear calls ring.

Phone Number Settings
Click the Numbers Tab to edit phone number settings.

Everyone is required to have a Groove number. You can easily choose a number from any area code in the US or Canada. If you wish to provision a phone number outside the US or Canada, please contact your Groove Admin or Support to get it provisioned.
Note: In some cases, your area code will be out of supply. The following error message will appear in the OmniDialer if this is the case:
This area code is out of supply. Please choose another area code or contact Groove Support to order more numbers in this area code.
Since Groove pulls phone numbers from our third-party provider, Twilio, we are limited to what numbers they have available in their inventory. If your area code is out of supply, you can try provisioning a number in a different area code (such as an overlay area code for the same locality). You can also contact the Support team to see if our VoIP provider is able to order additional numbers from your top choice area code.
Your Caller ID will automatically be set to your Groove Number by default. If you would prefer to set your Caller ID to a desk phone or your cellphone, please click "Verify a Number" to change your Caller ID to that number.
Note: If you set your Caller ID to your cell phone number (or any number other than your Groove OmniDialer), then that is the phone number prospects will see when you call them from the OmniDialer. Therefore, any calls they return to you will ring on the phone associated with your Caller ID number. Your OmniDialer will not also ring in this case.
Verified Number
You can enter and verify your cell number to use your cell number as a caller ID for outbound calls. When you enter a number to verify, you will receive an automated call from our VoIP provider, Twilio. Answer the call and, when prompted, use your phone’s keypad to input the six-digit code shown in your OmniDialer.
Note: If you’ve used Groove to verify your phone number at a previous company, please contact the Support team to ensure it’s cleared out from your old Groove account.
If you want to make calls from your cell or desk phone, Bridge Dial is the way to go.
When you enable this toggle, all calls made through the OmniDialer will first ring your Bridge Dial phone. Once you answer the call on your Bridge Dial phone, Groove will then dial your prospect. You can then proceed with the call from your Bridge Phone, while using the OmniDialer just to log your calls.
If you have a Verified Number set up, you can use that as your Bridge Dial number. However, you do not have to have a Verified Number to use Bridge Dial. You can use any other phone number you’d like. All the calls you make with Bridge Dial enabled will show your prospect the number you've set as your Groove Caller ID.
If you want the flexibility to answer calls from cell phone, desk phone, or OmniDialer, Call Forwarding is the way to go!
Enable this toggle to set the number you want inbound calls forwarded to. When you receive an inbound call, both the OmniDialer and your call forwarding number will ring simultaneously. For example, if someone calls your Groove Phone Number back, and you're not at the computer to receive the call, the call will also ring on your Call Forwarding Number to ensure you can take it.
If you have a Verified Number set up, you can use that as your Call Forwarding number. However, you do not have to have a Verified Number to use Call Forwarding. You can also use any other phone number you’d like.
