Generating a Token for Clari's API
The Clari API uses tokens to authenticate requests. You can create and manage your tokens with the Token Management portal from the Clari web application (accessible via User Preferences). If you don't see a token generation tool, you may not have been given access. Please reach out to your CSM if that’s the case.
Generating a New Token
1. Click your name/initials in the upper right corner of Clari and select Settings.

2. Select the API Token tab and click Generate New API Token. You can generate up to 5 tokens.

3. Give your token a unique name, select "All" or "Field Ingestion" in the Token Scope drop-down according to your use case, and click Save.

Once you have generated the token, it will only be displayed once. After you leave the screen, you will no longer be able to see the API token. There is no way to retrieve this token at a later time. This is for security purposes. This is your key to accessing Clari data for your organization, so it's important to copy the token immediately and save it in a secure location.
Revoking a Token
Any one user with access to the API Token tab will have the ability to generate up to 5 tokens at any given time. Tokens do not have a set expiration. You may want to revoke a token if your organization rotates keys regularly if too many individuals have access to a token, or for any other reason. To revoke a token, click Revoke next to that token in the API Token tab.

It's important to note that revoking a token will break any active integrations that were using that token. If and when a user is deactivated in Clari, any tokens created by the user will be revoked (and thus break any active integration).
