Forecast Widgets
Overview
The Forecast Widget gives you a summary of how you are tracking towards your number within a Dashboard.

Forecast Widget: Basic Orientation

a. The Forecast Widget provides a summary of the tab(s) from Forecast that you selected, including the Quota (i.e. Plan), Closed against Quota (i.e. Booked), and the primary forecast call (i.e. Commit). These are the same values that are shown in the Forecast card in Clari Mobile.
Which forecast call is considered the primary forecast call depends on which tab(s) you pin from Forecast, and your organization's configuration. For example, you may want the Forecast Widget — New Business tab to display the Commit call, but the Forecast Widget — Renewals tab to display the Upside call.
We can configure each of your tabs in Forecast to take whichever call makes the most sense for your business and display that call in the Forecast Widget.
b. If multiple Forecast tabs have been pinned in your Forecast Widget, then you can click through the tabs. Each tab will display its forecast status to indicate whether or not it is up to date.
c. The body of the widget will show different information depending on whether you are a sales leaders (i.e. a manager or exec who is a Forecast Manager) or a sales rep (i.e. a sales rep who is an Individual Contributor to Forecast).
- If you are a Forecast Manager — or someone who calls a number and also has others rolling up to you who call a number — then the Widget will display the quotas, closed amounts, and forecast calls for the users who rollup to you.
- If you are an Individual Contributor to Forecast — or someone who calls a number, but does not have anyone reporting to you who calls a number — then the widget will display the deals associated with the forecast call.
- If you are a Viewer of Forecast, then you will see whatever the user who you are viewing Forecast as sees in the Forecast Widget. Most likely, you are viewing Forecast as someone else who is a Forecast Manager does.
d. To see more of the people who rollup to you, or more deal details, click the Expand Details button at the bottom of the Widget.
Note: If you override the default Scope in your Dashboard (also known as Hierarchy Mode), then Forecast Widgets require that you have selected a role or user in the hierarchy that has a forecast associated with it in order to display data.
How to Pin a Forecast Widget to a Dashboard
Forecast Widgets are created by opening the Actions Drop-down in the Forecast Module, and selecting the Pin to Dashboard option.

The following settings are applied to your Widget based on your current selections in Forecast:
- Scope: If you pin a Forecast Widget to a Dashboard that is shared with other Roles, then your selected Scope will be overridden by individual user's Scope according to their role so that each individual gets the correct visibility.
- Time Period/Quarter: In addition to pinning any of your Forecast tabs for the current quarter, you can also pin any of your Forecast tabs from previous quarters. You might want to pin Forecast tab(s) from last quarter, for example, to your QBR Dashboard.
After you click Pin to Dashboard, you can choose which tabs from Forecast you want to pin to a Dashboard.
- Pinning 1 Forecast Widget with multiple tabs in it works well when you plan to use Hierarchy Mode in the Dashboard to navigate down to users that may not have access to all of the same tabs in Forecast.
- Pinning multiple Forecast Widgets with different tabs selected allows you to view your various forecasts side by side.

Once you've selected the Forecast tabs(s) that you want to pin to a Dashboard, you can select which Dashboard you would like to pin the Widget to, and click Save.
