Deltas Between Levels Report in Forecasting
Overview
The Deltas Between Levels Report compares the aggregate forecast numbers between the different levels in your sales team. For example, if you want to see what your AVPs are calling vs. your managers vs. your reps, you can use this report.
Exporting the Deltas Report
To run the Deltas Between Levels Report, go to the Forecasting module and click on the Actions menu (a). From the dropdown, select Generate Reports (b). In the pop-up window, select “Deltas Between Levels Report” as the report type (c) and click Next.
Then select the Forecast field(s) you want to do the comparison against (d) and click Generate Report.* The report will be available for download in the Notifications pop-up once it’s ready.
*Depending on your Forecast set-up, you may be asked to select which time period(s) you want to include.

Understanding the Deltas Report
You’ll see the different Levels are automatically calculated based on the structure of your Salesforce Role Hierarchy.
- Level 1 represents the level from which you took the export.
- Level 2 represents the direct reports of the Level 1.
- Level 3 would be the sum of all of the direct reports of the individuals in Level 2.
The number of levels you see in your report will depend on the number of layers in your hierarchy.
In the example below, we took the Deltas report from Jason White’s level (he’s a VP). Level 2 is the sum of his direct reports’ Hart Commit calls. Level 3 represents the sum of all of the reps’ calls (the reps report up to Level 2).
