Align Buyer and Seller Capabilities and Notifications
Overview
A mutual action plan (MAP) creates transparency between the buying team and the selling team. But that doesn't mean you need to share everything. Sellers have a few extra capabilities and can see a few different areas than Buyers.
| Actions | Permissions |
| Creating a MAP | Seller only |
| Adding Milestones | Seller only |
| Adding & Editing Actions on a Milestone | Seller only |
| Changing Action Status | Seller and Buyer |
| Adding Events | Seller and Buyer |
| Activity Stream Visibility | Seller sees all activities Buyer sees all except Private Milestone activities |
| Adding People & Resources | Seller and Buyer |
| Adding a Comment | Seller and Buyer |
| Export | Seller and Buyer |
| Move Dates | Seller and Buyer |
| Private + Draft Milestones | Seller only |
Seller-Specific MAP Capabilities
- Private and Draft Milestones (Creation, Commenting, Visibility)
- Adding and Editing Milestones
- Presentation Mode
- Timeline adjustments
MAP Activity Visibility
- Seller sees all activity
- Buyer will not see Private milestone activity
- Seller viewing a MAP is not recorded as an activity, but Buyers viewing MAP is recorded
Partner-Specific MAP Capabilities
- Currently, only two team types are supported in Align: Buyer vs Seller
- Depending on which side the Partner is added to, their capabilities will match either the Buyer’s or Seller’s capabilities
