Salesloft Mobile gives you the flexibility to make and receive calls wherever you are—whether you're between meetings or away from your desk.
To start making calls from the Salesloft Mobile app, open the app and select the Mobile Dial tab. Now that you've completed step one, there are different ways to go about calling a Person from the mobile app depending on your personal preference.
In this article, we will walk through the various ways you can make calls using Salesloft Mobile, including:
Before placing your first call, make sure:
- You have the Salesloft Mobile app installed.
- Your mobile number is verified within the app.
- You’ve granted the app access to your contacts (recommended for easier setup and recognition).
- You understand your mobile network may be used for calling and that standard carrier charges may apply, especially for international calls.
- When making a call via the Salesloft Mobile app, the app uses your mobile network to place the call.
- If using the mobile app to make international calls, additional charges may apply if your phone plan lacks an international dialing plan.
- Things to Note: Virtual numbers (e.g., Google Voice) are not supported when setting up the Salesloft Mobile app dialer. This means to make outbound calls from Salesloft Mobile, you will need to use a physical, carrier-provided phone number. We recommend assigning a business-dedicated phone number, such as a company-issued or carrier-provided mobile number. If you do not have a business-dedicated phone number, you may opt for placing outbound calls via the Salesloft web app instead.
The first time you make a call from Salesloft Mobile, you’ll be prompted to complete a few quick setup steps:
- Verify Your Number: Enter your mobile number when prompted. This lets the app confirm which mobile network will be used to place calls.
- Complete a Test Call: After verifying your number, place a test call to confirm everything’s working. You’ll hear a confirmation message: “Your setup is now complete. Goodbye.”
- Allow Contact Access (Recommended): The app will ask permission to access your address book. This saves your Salesloft-provisioned number to your device so inbound calls can be recognized later.
Salesloft Mobile also has a keypad where you can place calls.
To dial a number directly:
- Open the Salesloft Mobile app and go to the Callstab. You will land on the Keypad.
- Enter the number you’d like to call.
- Tap the green Call button.
- Confirm your Salesloft-provisioned number will be used and tap Call again.
- After the call, you’ll be prompted to log the call and take notes.
Things to Note: Please don't take notes and drive.
You can make a call from the Mobile app by searching for a Salesloft Person.
To call a Salesloft Person using search:
- Open the Salesloft Mobile app and select the Search (magnifying glass icon) in the upper right corner of the app.
- Type the name or number of the Person or Account you want to call.
- Select the Person from the search results.
- Choose the correct phone number (if multiple are listed).
- Review the prompt confirming your Salesloft number will be used. Tap Call.
- While on the call, you can switch to the app to take notes. Once the call ends, you’ll be prompted to log the call and add notes.
Things to Note: Please don't take notes and drive.
Inbound calls come in when people are calling your Salesloft number. The standard inbound call is sent to your forwarding number if you do not answer the call from your web browser. This means by default, the call can go to your cell phone. To learn more about inbound calls, check out our Inbound Calling article.
Once the call ends, don’t forget to log it in Salesloft Mobile to keep your CRM up to date and stay on top of follow-ups.
