Monthly Pulse
Overview
Monthly Pulse allows you to track overall performance and forecast accuracy against your monthly goals without pulling a single report manually. It can also be helpful to triangulate your quarterly forecast and projection with the Monthly Pulse view, and proactively course-correct if you fall off track of your monthly or quarterly goals.
Monthly Pulse View Forecast and Chart Settings
You must select a Forecast in your Chart Settings that is a monthly forecast with a monthly quota assigned in order to pull in the forecast calls and Quota Line into Monthly views of Pulse. For each day, the last saved value in the forecast call field on that date will display.
Current Month Pulse
The Current Month view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- How has our pipeline evolved this month?
- What number are we forecasting for the month?
- Are we tracking towards our monthly forecast?
- Are we building enough pipeline (and the right pipeline mix) to set ourselves up for success next month?
Current Month Pulse KPIs
- Quota: The monthly quota pulled from the Overall Forecast selected in your Chart Settings in Pulse.
- Closed Won: The total amount closed as won as of the current day in the month.
- Gap to Quota: The delta between your Quota and Closed Won amounts.
- AI Projection: Clari's AI Projection as of the current day in the month.
- 1 Day Change: The amount that Clari's AI Projection has changed from the previous day in the month.
- Gap to Quota: The delta between your Quota and Clari's AI Projection.
- Forecast (i.e. Hard Commit): The primary forecast call pulled from the Overall Forecast selected in your Chart Settings in Pulse.
- 1 Day Change: The amount that the forecast has changed from the previous day in the month.
- Gap to Quota: The delta between your primary forecast call and your Quota.
- Open Pipeline: The total amount of your remaining open pipeline set to close in the current month.
Last Month Pulse
The Last Month view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- At what point did we accurately forecast our number last month?
- How did we perform against our quarterly goals last month? Are we ahead of or behind our plan?
Last Month Pulse KPIs
- Quota: The quota for last month pulled from the Overall Forecast selected in your Chart Settings in Pulse.
- Closed Won:The total amount closed as won as of the last day of last month.
- Gap to Quota: The delta between the total amount closed as won and the quota.
- D X AI Projection % of Actual: The percentage of the actual amount closed as won that Clari's AI Projection predicted in day X of the month.
- Day X Forecast % of Actual: The percentage of the actual amount closed as won that was forecasted in day X of the month.
- Start Pipeline: The total amount of open pipeline at the start of last month.
- Coverage to Quota: Your Start Pipeline divided by your Quota.
- Coverage to Closed: Your Start Pipeline divided by the total amount closed as won.
Time Machine

Next Month Pulse
The Next Month view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- How are things shaping up for next month?
- How much pipeline do we need to hit our number next month?
In the Next Month view of Pulse, the dates in the Chart will not display the next month. Instead, the last 30 days will be displayed, and the bars will reflect the current breakdown (by forecast category or stage depending on your configuration) of the deals that are currently set to close next month.
Next Month Pulse KPIs
- Quota: The quota for next month pulled from the Overall Forecast selected in your Chart Settings in Pulse. You must have uploaded/entered a Quota for next month for this metric to display.
- AI Projection: Clari's AI Projection for next month.
- Gap to Quota: The delta between Clari's AI Projection for next month and your Quota. You must have uploaded/entered a Quota for next month for this metric to display.
- Coverage: Your Total Pipeline divided by your Quota. You must have uploaded/entered a Quota for next month for this metric to display.
- Suggested: Your suggested coverage for next month based on your historical conversion rates and Clari's AI.
- Total Pipeline: The pipeline you have built set to close for next month as of the current day.
- 1 Day Change: The amount your Total Pipeline has changed since yesterday.
- Gap: The delta between your Total Pipeline and your Suggested Pipeline in Pulse.
