Yearly Pulse
Overview
Yearly Pulse allows you to track overall performance and forecast accuracy against your annual goals without pulling a single report manually. It can also be helpful to triangulate your annual forecast against your performance at the close of each quarter, and proactively course-correct if you fall off track of your annual goals.
Yearly Pulse View and Chart Settings
The Projection Line, Close Plan, and Forecast will not display in yearly views of Pulse.
Current Year View of Pulse
The Current Year view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- How are we tracking against our yearly goals?
- How has our pipeline evolved so far this year?
- How are we tracking towards our forecast for this year?
Current Year Pulse KPIs
- Closed Won: The total amount closed as won as of the current month in the year.
- Open Pipeline: The total amount of your remaining open pipeline set to close in the current year.
Last Year Pulse
The Last Year view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- At what point did we accurately forecast our number for the year?
- How did we perform against our linearity goals last year?
Last Year Pulse KPIs
- Closed Won:The total amount closed as won as of the last day of the year.
- Start Pipeline: The total amount of open pipeline at the start of last year.
- Coverage to Closed: Your Start Pipeline divided by the total amount closed as won.
Time Machine
If you want more details about the deals that were in any segment of your pipeline during a particular month in the year, then you can click on that part of the pipeline to take a closer look. Learn more in our Time Machine in Pulse article.
Next Year Pulse
The Next Year view of Pulse can help you answer questions like:
- How is our pipeline evolving for next year?
- Are we tracking towards our pipeline target for next year?
In the Next Year view of Pulse, the dates in the Chart will not display the next year. Instead, the last 12 months will be displayed, and the bars will reflect the current breakdown (by forecast category or stage depending on your configuration) of the deals that are currently set to close next year.
Next Year Pulse KPIs
- Open Pipeline: The open pipeline you have built set to close next year as of the current day.
- Total Pipeline: The pipeline you have built set to close for next year as of the current day.
- 1 Month Change: The amount your Total Pipeline has changed since last month.
