Advanced Forecast Inspection (Expanded View)

This feature lets you inspect entities and roll up an entity-based forecast in Forecast expanded view.

 

 

Use Cases

1. You can inspect and update fields on all the objects in the entity path.  Example: Account > Opportunity > Workloads: You can update fields configured in field config for accounts, opportunities, and workloads.

2. You can see the respective child entities based on what's selected in the entity path.  Example: Account > Opportunity > Workloads: If you select an Account, you should see the related opportunities in expanded view

3. You can navigate and traverse different objects in the entity path easily. Example: If you're inspecting accounts, you should easily be able to switch to inspecting opportunities or workloads.

 

How To Use Advanced Forecast Inspection

 

Note: Entity-based Forecasting (Mode Traversal) must be configured for the forecast tab.

 

1. From Forecast, click Edit Forecast at the top right. Or, click the expand arrow in the right hand panel.

 

2. Click Settings at the top >  Show By: Account

 

Now you should see the entity path in the left panel and the entity fields in expanded view. 

 

 

You can click the down arrows to expand: 

 

Clari always shows the next level (child) entity in expanded view. For example: If you select an account, you'll see the workloads (child entity) in expanded view. If you select the Forecast Total Consumption at your user level, you'll see all the accounts (next level entity).

 

If you are the owner of the entity (e.g. sales rep/account manager, customer success) you can submit a forecast for all the entities configured.
