Your Profile Settings within Your Personal Settings is where you set up and edit your Salesloft account information and email signature.
In this article, you will learn the steps to take within the Profile Settings to set up your Salesloft profile, including:
Your name and email address are essential to your profile and ensure you receive necessary communication.
When your team admin sends your Salesloft invite, the name and email address they include will be listed on the Profile settings page. This email address is what you will use as your login credential. Which means, if the invite went to your office email, that email address grants you access to Salesloft.
If you would like to use an alternative email address, like using your old school Hotmail address (sk8rboi12345) for whatever reason, you will need to contact our Salesloft Support team. You can, however, update your name right inside Salesloft.
To update your name, follow the instructions below:
- Go to your Settings. You will be directed to the Profile settings page.
- From the Profile settings, navigate to the Name and Email section and click Edit. The Update Account Information page will open in a separate window.
- Enter your preferred first and last name.
- Click Update Information. An information confirmation page will appear.
- From the confirmation page, review the information to ensure your preferred name appears. Click Edit Information if you would like to further edit your name.
- Click Continue to Salesloft to be directed back to Salesloft. You may also choose to log out of Salesloft.

Your Profile Details include your job role and time zone.
Job role refers to your current job within your organization. You will typically select the job role when initially creating your Salesloft account. But if you skipped that step in the sign-up process, or are changing roles in your company (congrats!), you can edit your job role from the Profile settings.
The time zone listed here is based on your organization. Along with your job role, you can also change your working time zone. This helps clients book time on your calendar appropriately.
Things to Note: The time zone you set defaults for scheduling and booking meetings.
To edit your job role, follow these steps:
- Go to your Settings. You will be directed to the Profile settings page.
- From the Profile settings page, navigate to the Profile Details section and click Edit. The Profile Details window will appear.
- Click the Job Role dropdown and select a role from the following options:
- xDR
- Account Executive

The Preferred Language settings allow you to choose the language that appears throughout Salesloft.
When a signature is saved to your Salesloft profile, that signature will be added at the end of every Salesloft email you send.
