Deal KPI Widgets
Overview
KPI Widgets allow you to track key metrics based on Saved Views from the Opportunities Module, in a simple, easy-to-read format.

Pinning a KPI widget
KPI Widgets are pinned by selecting Add Widget from Actions in the upper right corner of your Dashboard, then selecting the KPI option from the Add Widget menu.

The first step is to select which Saved View you would like to base the KPI on — the KPI Widget will summarize data from this view.
Note: currently, you can't select a sub-object Saved View when creating a KPI Widget (i.e., splits, product line items, or revenue schedules).
Based on data for that Saved View, there are four primary values that can be shown in a KPI Widget:
- Total Amount: the total value of all deals currently in that Saved View.
- Total Deals: the total number of deals currently in that Saved View.
- Average Deal Size: the average value of all deals currently in that Saved View.
- Average Deal Age: the average duration that deals in that Saved View have been or were open — in the case of open deals, this is determined by the current date minus the creation date, and for closed deals, it is determined by the close date minus the creation date.
To change the value just click the area inside the dotted line and select another value from the menu.

Up to 3 Points of Insight
There are three different formats for KPIs– single value, double value, and triple value. You can switch to a different layout by using the arrows on either side of the widget preview.

If you have selected either Total Amount or Total Deals as your primary KPI — which is the first and largest value in the double or triple layout — then you also have the option of selecting a 7-Day Change Indicator as your second or third KPI. This will be the Changes to Total Amount or Changes to Total Deals option, depending on which primary KPI you selected — Total Amount or Total Deals.
Note: Change indicators are not available when you're looking at a Dashboard in Hierarchy Mode. If you use the Scope to drill down into different levels of the hierarchy in your Dashboard, then other KPIs will remain, and reflect the current Scope, but the Change Indicators will not be displayed.
Showing Positive / Negative Trends in KPIs
In most cases, a positive change for Total Amount or Total Deals is a good thing, but not always. For example, you might create a KPI that shows lost deals this quarter, in which case an increase in the Total Amount or Total Deals is bad. In such scenarios, enable the Increases Are Bad toggle at the bottom of the menu.
The color-coding of the Change Indicator will reflect that increases are bad, meaning an increase will display in red and a decrease will display in green.

Finally, you'll need to name your KPI Widget, and click Save to add the Widget to your Dashboard.
If you want to rename your KPI Widget later, simply click the ellipsis icon in the upper right of the Widget, and select the "Rename Widget" option.
