Groove Domain Blocklist
Note: Create a support ticket to access this feature.
If you're both a Groove Admin and a Salesforce admin you can edit your org's Groove Domain Blocklist.
Groove Domain Blocklist feature prevents emails and events with blocklisted email addresses from logging to Salesforce.
Blocklists are configured at a profile level, so they can be configured differently for different sets of users. Blocking can work in a few ways:
When recipients are on the blocklist
- Don't log to Salesforce if Create Unresolved Items is unchecked (for emails) or Only Sync CRM Related Events was checked (for calendar events)
- Log as unresolved items if Create Unresolved Items is checked (for emails) or Only Sync CRM Related Events was unchecked (for calendar events)
Mixed recipients
When there's a mix of recipients with blocklisted domains and non-blocklisted domains, Clari logs only recipients without blocked domains.

- Blocking email addresses in full, ie mmorris@clari.com
- Blocking any number of email domains or addresses
How To Use Groove's Domain Blocklist
Once Admins enable this feature in Salesforce, Admins can add as many domains as they like to the blocklist from Manage My Org in Profile Settings. You can block domains from specific domains or specific email addresses like "matt@grooveapp.com" or any email from "grooveapp.com" You can also block wildcard domains like business.uber.com or "matt@groove.clari.com"
Note: You must be an Admin in both Groove and Salesforce to perform the following steps.
Go to your icon (top right) > Manage my Org:

From Manage my Org, to to Profile Settings in the left nav.
Then, you'll see a list of teams that you can update settings for. Select the team you want to update blocklist for.

And finally, add what you want to block under Email Domain blocklist:

Blocklist Notes
- In the extension, users on a given profile will not be able to log to blocked emails or domains.
- Background email sync will block logging for emails and events with recipient domains or email addresses covered by the blocklist in their profile.
- Emails sent via Actions or Flows that contain email addresses covered by the domains and addresses on the blocklist will not be logged to contacts or leads with those email addresses. Specifically selected contacts or leads to log to, not just email address, will not be blocked.
- Admins can now set up any number or blocked emails, domains, or wildcard strings in the domain blocklist for a given profile setting.
