Add Field Extensions Directly Via Data Ingestion Pipeline
A field extension lets you add custom fields to standard objects—like Account or Opportunity—to capture extra data relevant to your operations. With this feature, you can directly add these custom fields from external data tables to core CRM objects.
Use Cases
This feature is ideal for teams that want to enrich existing Account or Opportunity objects with custom fields from their warehouse, such as:
-
Adding bookings actuals: Extend the Opportunity object with actual bookings or revenue data from external systems, enabling accurate comparisons against forecasts directly within Clari.
-
Adding data without Salesforce: Organizations can bring in additional fields—like health scores, segments, or ARR—directly from their warehouse without creating custom fields in Salesforce.
-
Product usage or CSM fields: Extend the Opportunity object with product engagement metrics or metrics like NPS or CS score to power forecasting or deal inspection workflows.
Pre-requisites
- Your data table must already be connected and schema-crawled inside Clari.
- The table should contain a column that can be used to join with Clari's internal Account or Opportunity ID. It also should be mapped accurately.
- Entities can only be extended to two standard objects currently—Account and Opportunity.
