Field Mapping for Ingested Data
The fields in your ingested tables must map to Clari’s data model for seamless data integration. The Fields Mapping Configuration feature allows you to map fields in their source tables to Clari’s schema. This way, you don't need to hard-code specific field names in your source table schema.
Admins can use this feature to ensure successful integrations of tables inside Clari.
-
Admins can use this feature to map source fields, example: accountid, opportunityid, userid, to Clari’s requisite schema.
-
This feature makes it mandatory for admins to mark id column as the primary key.
-
Admins can easily identify and map fields related to currency, such as selecting the appropriate currency ISO code and mapping numeric fields for aggregations.
Note: You cannot configure field mapping for tables already ingested in Clari.
How To Configure Field Mapping for Ingested Tables
Admin can follow these steps.
1. From Clari Studio > Integrations, scroll to Datasource and click Connect on the database you wish to add. After connecting, you'll see the table selection panel.
2. Choose the table you want to integrate and click Save.
Note: After saving, allow up to 1 hour for Clari to complete the schema crawl. Once the schema crawl is completed, you will be able to map the table.
3. After the schema crawl completes, you'll see the Edit Table option:

4. Click Edit Table and edit your fields:

A few notes on editing fields:
- If the primary key is marked as
id it will automatically show up in the primary key section. - Use the reference object section to map
accountid, opportunityid, and userid with the column names in the external table. - Use the currency section to select the right column that represents the ISO code. And to select the actual currency column.
5. Finally, click Save to save your changes.
