Uploading Quotas in Clari
Quotas are a central component of Forecast. With the Quota Management module in Clari Studio, you can bulk upload quotas for your team.
To Access Quota Management
1. From Clari web, go to Clari Studio (top right corner)
2. Click the menu in the top left > Forecast Quota Management
3. Select a quota file you would like to download so that you can add values to it and then upload into Clari. You can download multiple files at once. After you make your selections, click Download a CSV File for Quota Upload.
Note: The file will be in your browser downloads.

After your download is complete, if you look at it you can see CRM_USER_ID and USER_ID are now populated along with OBJECT_ID and OBJECT_VALUE for entity based quota values.
If you need help creating your quota file, see the section below.
4. After entering values in the .csv file, navigate back to quota management and upload the file.

Create a Quota File
Download this sample quota file to use as a template.
To save your completed template:
- On your computer, Select File > Save As
- Choose the Comma Separated Values (.csv) file format
Note: You must save your completed template a .csv file to upload to Quota Management successfully. Other file types, such as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (.csv) or Excel Workbook (.xlsx) aren't supported.
The sample file looks like one of the 2 options below based on whether you leverage the Salesforce role hierarchy or territory hierarchy.

2. Expand this section to see quota names for your Forecast setup. You’ll need these in your quota file.
3. Expand this section to upload your quota file once it is ready.
Understanding Quota Templates
Uploading quotas involves constructing a .csv file with the necessary quota data. An explanation of the information required is below.
Use this template for quarterly and yearly quotas.
Use this template for Monthly Forecast quotas.
Please ensure you follow the template format for all quota uploads.
CRM_USER_ID
Salesforce user ID—it should be a series of numbers and letters that looks something like this: 005d0000001qGsoAAE
HIERARCHY_ID (specific to territories)
Salesforce territory ID—to find the territory ID associated with each user, you'll need to create a custom report type in Salesforce.
You can find more information on how to Create Custom Report Types for Enterprise Territory Management Reports in the Salesforce Help Center.
For this use case, we recommend using the Territory Models as your primary object, Territories as your secondary object, and users are your tertiary object (see options in the snapshot below from the table in the Salesforce Help Center article).

PERIOD_NAME
- Fiscal quarter that the quota applies to (Year example: 2022, 2201, etc. / Quarter example: 2018_Q1, 2018_Q2, etc. / Month example: 2018_M1, 2018_M2, etc.)
- You can upload yearly quotas (assuming you have a field for one in Clari). You must include the yearly quota for each individual for each fiscal period/quarter.
QUOTA_NAME
List the name of the quota the value corresponds to. To see the quotas in your environment, open the Current Quotas Setup section of the Quota Management page:

QUOTA_GOAL
Value of the quota (do not include $ or , )
CURRENCY
The ISO currency code of the quota (i.e., USD)—today, we only support the currency code of your corporate currency set in CRM.
