Custom Filter Options in Field Configuration
Clari Admins can now create more complex filter options in Field Configuration. This article walks you through the prerequisites and steps for creating customer filter options.
Note: Only Clari Admins can perform the steps in this article. Your company must have Field Configuration enabled to use this feature.
How to create a custom filter option
Go to Field Configuration and hover over the field you want to edit, like this:

Note: You can also add a field by clicking Actions (top right) > Add Field. Learn more about Adding a Field here.
Create a new filter option
For all fields types, admins can create new filter options by either using a preset or creating a custom date range.
1. Presets: Select from the list of predefined filter options:

2. Click Custom Range at the top of the list above to create a Custom Range:

Looking at the window above as an example, you can create new filter options by:
Once you choose Custom Range, the Operators change based on the Field Type. See the tables below to learn about the operators and range types for:
Customizing Date Fields
Operators

There are three main operators used for constructing criteria which are:
For example, is last 10 days means = last 10 days (see image below)
For example, is before Today means < Today

Dynamic vs Fixed ranges for Date Fields
-
Dynamic Range: Range that changes relative to today
-
Last: Starts from today to N days/weeks/months/years before today, and starts at 12AM on that day
-
Next: Starts from tomorrow to N days/weeks/months/years after tomorrow, does not include today
-
Ago: Starts N days/weeks/months/years before today, then continues based on selected time interval (day, week, month, year)
-
Presets:
-
Today
-
Tomorrow
-
This/Next/Last Week
-
This/Next/Last Month
-
This/Next/Last Quarter
-
This/Next/Last Year
-
Overdue

Fixed Range: Range with specific dates based on operators selected
-
-
is before - everything before selected date
-
is after - everything after selected date
-
is between - everything between two selected dates

Customizing options for String Fields
Operators
There are five main operators used for constructing criteria which are:
-
Contains
-
Does not contain
-
Equals
-
Does not equal
-
Is null
Here's an example of those operators for String fields:

Adding additional criteria using AND / OR
Admins can define multiple sets of criteria for one filter option to build more complex logic. They can either use:
Note: This feature does not support using AND and OR at the same time for one filter option. For example, you can't use a filter for Last Quarter AND This Quarter OR Next Quarter.
Here's an example for Last and This Quarter:
