Forecast Configuration Export

Overview

The Forecast Configuration Export will show a detailed overview of the entire Forecast Module, according to how you configure it. The export will be a spreadsheet (.csv file), and a Clari Admin can download it at any time through Forecast Management.

How To Export

Note: Forecast Configuration Exports are available to Clari Admin. If you aren't an admin, you'll need to contact your company's admin for an export. 

1. Click Clari Studio  in the top right corner 

2. Use the menu in the top left to go to Forecast Management in Clari

3. Click Actions in the top right corner

4. Select Export, and the Forecast Configuration Export file will download to your computer

Reading Your Export

Here's an explanation of each section of the Forecast Configuration Export.

Tab Name: This will show you the tab name displayed in Forecast.

Field Name: This will show you the field name displayed in Forecast.

Field Type: Possible field types include Quota, Forecast Entry, Read-only, Calculation, Reference, and Reference-Hidden.

Field Details: This section will only be populated for Reference, Reference-Hidden, and Composite (Forecast Entry) fields. This section will tell you the details of where the data comes from for each field. For example:

• Reference: “From Renewals tab and Churn Forecast field”

• Composite: “Composite Non-Strict: Commit”

Mode: This will show you the Mode in which this field is configured.

Field to Sum: This is the Aggregation Field used to sum the numbers in Forecast.

Duration: This is the fiscal period type of the field. Possible time periods are Year, Quarter, Month, and Week.

Sort Field: This is the Sort Field used to sort the Opportunities in the right-side panel within Forecast.

Individual Contributor Description: This will show you the description for the Individual Contributor Query. This sentence is displayed in the right-side panel in Forecast.

Individual Contributor Query: This will show you the filter criteria used to generate the numbers for the Individual Contributors.

Forecast Manager Description: This will show you the description for the Forecast Manager Query. This sentence is displayed in the right-side panel in Forecast.

Forecast Manager Query: This will show you the filter criteria used to generate the numbers for the Forecast Managers.

NOTE: The following rows will only appear if your organization has the configuration enabled. Please contact your Clari CSM if you'd like to learn more.

Custom Closed Query: The Custom Closed Query will show you if there are any custom filter criteria used to generate the Closed numbers in the right-side panel in Forecast. 

“N-Level” Description: This will show you the description for any role-specific Queries that are configured outside of the Individual Contributor or Forecast Manager roles. 

“N-Level” Query: This will show you the filter criteria used to generate the numbers for any role-specific Queries that are configured outside of the Individual Contributor or Forecast Manager roles.
