Data Refresh Intervals
Overview
Clari has a bi-directional, real-time integration with Salesforce. Updates to opportunities made in Clari are reflected in Salesforce in real-time, and vice versa. As such, most of the core Modules in Clari (i.e. Opportunities, Dashboards, Forecast) update in real-time. Certain Analytics and Admin Modules that rely on historical data and AI update at specific intervals.
In this article, you'll learn about:
- RevDB and Data Store Refresh Intervals
- User and Hierarchy Management Refreshes
- Analytics Refreshes
RevDB and Data Store Refresh Intervals
Data Store is Clari's traditional platform for storing the data that the Analytics Modules (Pulse, Trend, Flow) and some of the Admin Modules use. Modules that rely on the Datastore refresh every 12 hours.
RevDB is a newer data platform. It allows Clari to power even more connected and efficient revenue operations by updating the Modules that rely on historical data and AI more frequently. When your organization uses the RevDB, the Modules that previously refreshed every 12 hours are refreshed every 30 minutes.
The diagram below outlines the specifics for each Module depending on your setup.
| Module/Platform Area | Data Refresh Rate (RevDB) | Data Refresh Rate (Data Store) |
| Opportunities | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min |
| Dashboards | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min |
| Forecast | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min | ranges from 45 seconds to 15 min |
| Saved View Management (Admin) | Real time | Real time |
| Quota Management (Admin) | Real time | Real time |
| Team Activity | Every 15 minutes | Every 15 minutes |
| Activity Sync | Every 15 minutes | Every 15 minutes |
| Trend | Every 30 minutes | Every 12 hours |
| Flow | Every 30 minutes | Every 12 hours |
| Pulse | Every 30 minutes | Every 12 hours |
| Waterfall | Every 30 minutes | N/A |
| CRM Score | Every 12 hours | Every 12 hours |
| Clari's Projection | Every 30 minutes | Every 12 hours |
| User Management (Admin) | Every 30 minutes* | Every 12 hours* |
| Hierarchy Management (Admin) | Every 30 minutes* | Every 12 hours* |
*Please review the section on User and Hierarchy Management Refreshes to learn what information updates on these intervals in the User Management and Hierarchy Management Admin Modules.
Note: For the ranges between 45 seconds and 15 minutes (Opportunities, Dashboards, and Forecast above) this range depends on the type of changes you make — some require more time.
Note: Refreshing user permissions take 72 hours.
User and Hierarchy Management Refreshes
In the case of the User Management and the Hierarchy Management Modules, some of the data that you see is synced from Salesforce to Clari, and some of the data that you see lives in Clari. As such, some of the data syncs to Clari on a regular interval, while other information updates in Clari in real-time.
Hierarchy Management
The Salesforce Role Hierarchy syncs to Clari every 30 minutes or every 12 hours depending on your organization's setup. If you make updates to the Salesforce Role Hierarchy, then you won't see that update reflected in Clari until the data between Clari and Salesforce refreshes.
However, if you make a change in Hierarchy Management in Clari (i.e. hiding a node, or renaming a node), then that change happens in Clari immediately.

If you make a change to the Salesforce Role Hierarchy that you need to be reflected in Clari immediately, submit a support ticket.
User Management
The User Management Module is refreshed every 12 hours (or twice a day). If you add a new user in Salesforce, you will not see the new user until the data between Clari and Salesforce is refreshed.
But, if you make a change to a user in User Management (i.e., updating a user's forecasting opt-in, or changing a user's Clari admin permissions) then that change happens in Clari immediately.

If you create a new user in Salesforce and you need to provision that user in Clari immediately, send a support ticket.
Analytics Refreshes
If you want to know the last time the data in Pulse, Trend, or Flow was updated, check the timestamp that you'll find in each of the Analytics Modules.
