FAQ
Q: Can I use this on the Claude mobile app or web browser?
Currently, MCP support is primarily focused on Claude Desktop. Mobile and standard web browser support are limited as they cannot easily access local configuration files.
Q: What forecast data can Claude access?
Claude can access the forecast data within your existing Clari permissions and hierarchy. This includes forecast tab values, scope hierarchy, time periods, historical snapshots, and related deal data. Claude cannot access data outside your assigned Clari role and permissions.
Q: Do I need my CRM connected to Clari for this to work?
No. Claude will interact with whatever forecast data is available in your Clari instance. CRM connectivity is not required, though it may expand the available data.
Troubleshooting
I'm getting an error in Claude. What should I do?
You can ask Claude what the error means and it should be able to help you troubleshoot. Follow these steps:
1. Report the error to your admin or Clari support.
2. Start a new chat session in Claude and ask: "Am I connected to Clari MCP?" or "What forecast tabs do I have access to in Clari? Use the Clari MCP to answer this question."
3. These prompts force Claude to test the connection. Subsequent prompts should work once the connection is confirmed.
Use Cases
Here are examples of how Claude works alongside your Clari Forecast MCP:
- Revenue Leaders: Check your team's pacing against quota, surface forecast hotspots before a review, or verify your org-wide commit number — all through a conversational question in Claude.
- Sales Managers: Pull a real-time snapshot of any manager's key forecast metrics before a 1:1, or see which managers haven't submitted their forecast yet.
- Revenue Operations: Check pipeline coverage across the org, spot missing or incomplete forecast data, or verify submission status before an executive review cycle closes.
For suggested prompts, try questions like:
- "What is my team's total closed-won revenue this quarter and how much do we still need to hit quota?"
- "What are the most important changes in my forecast this week? Give me the top 3–5 hotspots."
