Copilot and Webex API Integration
The Webex Integration pulls recordings from Webex via their APIs offline. This feature allows users to record and analyze Webex recorded calls in Copilot.
Admin Webex Setup
A Clari Admin can follow the instructions here to set up Webex in Copilot.
1. Enable transcription for all recordings in Webex: Webex admins can enable transcription in Webex for all recordings. This can be done by following the instructions outlined here: Turn on recording transcripts in Webex Meetings, Webex Webinars , and Webex Events (classic)
2. Connect calendar for users recording calls in Webex: For Copilot to link the meeting to the right event in the calendar, we need each user’s calendar to be connected with Webex. This will help Webex send the calendar event information to Copilot.
3. Connect Copilot to Webex: Customer admins need to sync Webex using following these steps:
- Navigate to the Admin Integrations in Workspace settings in Copilot. Link: Clari Copilot
- Hit
Connect on the Webex integration card - Enter credentials
- Once the connection is successful, you will see a disconnect button on the Webex card.
For Reps and Clari Copilot Users
1. Webex meetings that are not recorded won’t flow into Copilot. You must hit the record button in the pop-up at the start of a Webex meeting!

2. Users should set up meetings using the dynamic Webex URLs instead of using static meeting links to their personal rooms. While meetings recorded using personal meeting rooms on Webex will also be processed by Copilot, they might not be linked to the right meeting from the user’s calendar. Follow the instructions to connect your calendar to Webex here: Webex App | Connect your Google or Microsoft 365 calendar
FAQs
1. Do I have access to this feature?
Any customer using Webex with APIs, recording and transcription turned on will be able to use this integration. We will rely on the Webex APIs to bring over the recording and transcription to Copilot.
2. Will a bot join the Webex meeting?
No, a bot won’t join the Webex meeting. This integration works in the background by leveraging Webex APIs. After a meeting is over, Copilot pulls in the recording to process it.
3. Do I have all the Copilot features with Webex API?
Since a bot does not join the meeting, Copilot can't support any real-time features—mainly Battlecards. As a side effect, the transcription will not be available immediately after the meeting. Additionally, Copilot won’t auto-record these meetings, and a user will have to turn on a Webex recording for the meeting to make sure it flows to Copilot. Note: A host can change settings in Webex to auto-record calls (more info on this here). Since Webex currently only supports English transcription, Copilot can't support multi-language transcription.
4. When will the meeting be available for review after it ends?
Copilot waits for Webex to make the recording and transcription for the meeting available. Webex currently states that the transcript can take twice as long as the meeting duration. Copilot waits a max of 3 hours for Webex to make the transcription/recording available.
5. Will I still need to sync their calendars?
Yes, you will still need to sync your calendars as Copilot will need to map the Webex recording to a calendar event to get richer metadata from the calendar event and tie that to the Webex recording.
6. What form of consent will apply to Webex recordings?
Since Copilot is not recording the Webex meetings and only pulling the recordings from Webex offline after the call via APIs, we can’t enforce any consent mechanism of our own on these meetings. Users will have to set up Webex to make sure they are recording in accordance with the recording compliance rules of their state/location.
