How to upload a call recording to Copilot
Sometimes you may have important customer call recordings that weren't automatically captured by Clari Copilot. Sometimes Copilot isn't invited to a meeting, or calls are hosted by your customer, and your bot settings only allow you to record meetings hosted by your team. In these cases, you can upload a call recording (audio/video), so Copilot can analyze it for you.
Who can upload a call?
Any user with access to upload calls in Clari Copilot can upload call recordings to the platform. Check with your Admin on your roles & permissions.
Here's how:
-
Click Upload Call at the top right of Copilot:

2. Fill in the details:
- Call Title: Enter a descriptive title for the call recording. This makes it easier to find and identify the recording later when searching through your uploaded calls.
- External Attendees: Add the external attendees who participated in the call. This helps Clari Copilot associate the call recording with the respective account or contact, allowing the system to push the call as an activity under the correct account.
- Rep Details: Include the representative associated with the meeting or customer. This enables you to filter calls by rep later and use Clari Copilot's analytics to get performance statistics about the rep.
- Call Date and Time: Specify when the call took place. This information is essential for tracking and organizing your call history.
3. Upload the Recording File:
- Supported Formats: Upload your file in one of the following supported formats: mp4, mp3, wav, m4a, or flac
- Alternative Option: You can also copy and paste video or audio URLs, as long as they are in the supported formats listed above
4. Ensure Voice Sample Setup: Before uploading, make sure the rep's voice sample has been added to their profile. This is crucial for accurate speaker identification during the call analysis. Note: If a voice sample is missing, you'll see a warning message: "Voice sample for [rep name] is missing. Clari Copilot will not be able to identify the speakers in the call correctly. Submit again to continue.
5. When your call is successfully uploaded, you'll see a success banner at the bottom.
Note: Longer videos or clips take longer to analyze.
