How Copilot's Consent Page Works

Copilot's recording consent page helps ensure that your call recordings are compliant. It's displayed to all participants before they join a meeting.

How it works

Once the consent page is enabled for your team in Copilot, recording users need to re-sync their calendars.
 

• All meetings where you are the host are updated to reflect the change. A meeting link that usually says “Join with Google Meet” is updated to “Join Google Meet via Copilot." This also works with Zoom, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and BlueJeans.

• When your prospects click on the link, they’re taken to the customizable consent page with meeting info and a recording disclaimer. Clicking Join Meeting takes attendees to the regular Google Meet or Zoom link in a new tab.

• The consent page changes to give prospects an option to request a copy of the recording. When they do, an email is immediately sent to the meeting organizer.
   

Admin can customize Copilot's consent page. Go to Workspace Settings > Consent Page Settings > Customize Consent Page

Add your logo, brand colors, etc. And click Save when you're done to update your org's recorder consent page branding. 

Active Consent FAQs

1. Can the consent page be customized or disabled?

Yes, the consent page can be customized with your company logo and a unique recording disclaimer. This feature is only available to admins. If needed, admins also have the ability to disable the consent page or enabled it for only certain teams. To do so, you need to go to Workspace Settings, click on Consent Page settings under the Recorder and Transcription section.

3. Schedule the meeting link replacement - this will determine when the meeting link is replaced with the consent page link.

4. Admins also have the option to enable the consent page only for specific teams or disable it for all.

5. Enable active consent: For geographies with stricter laws, active consent can be enabled as a way to give participants the ability to stop the recording before the join the call.
    

2. Is the consent page enabled by default?

Yes, the consent page is enabled by default for all customers.

3. Which calendar systems does Copilot work with for enabling the consent page?

As of now, Copilot's consent page feature works only with Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar.
